My soon to be game room

Post by Jimmy Yakapucci »

I am in the process of setting up a game room for myself. It is about 9'x10', so I should be able to fit all my stuff in there. Here is the 'before' picture:

I will update this as I move my stuff in and get it set up.

What've you got to set up in there? I mean, which consoles?

Looking forward to seeing your new game room!!!

9x10 is a lot more cramped than you might think. Don't try to put too big of a TV in there or it will make things feel more claustrophobic.

Well, as for systems, I am still up in the air. I know that I will hook up my X'Eye and a PS2. My Saturn is also a given. After that I am not sure. I doubt that I will hook up my LaserActive to start with since I have no games for it. As for being cramped, my corner computer desk will have to go in there as well. For right now, the TV that I will be using is a 15" LCD monitor/TV combo, which will be on my computer desk. I will probably move up to a larger, wall mounted LCD of some sort once I get all the moving bills taken care of.

Sometimes tiny rooms like this have a lot of potential.

Solo playing? not a lot of room for Saturn B-man. Guess that's why we have PSN/Live. Though the Japanese have been doing it small style for a while.

A lot can be done with a small room and sometimes can enhance the gaming experience. My room is a smidge bigger than 9x10 and look what I did. http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... 28&t=10375 These pics are outdated and my room has a more finished look to it now. Good luck with your project.
