Abe's Odessey and it's sequel.
Persona 2: Innocent Sin - Not released in America, but it is now english! The second half actually was released in America, and much like any good RPG series its chronologically confusing with lots of sequels.
Shmups on PS1, but you've already got that article.
Final Fantasy IV, V, VI and Chrono Trigger, for some people without emulators this was their first chance to play these.
Also be proud, a quick google search for playstation 2D took me here to your site.

It's not too great, and it's not really 2D (maybe 2.5D...), but Robotron X was OK.
