Burning Wii Games
Re: Burning Wii Games
Welcome to growing group of users who actually use their Wiis again. If it wasn't for the homebrew scene on the Wii it would be covered in 3" of dust by now.

So I spent the better part of two hours trying to figure out why it wasnt working, but in the end I got USBloader GX operational. The issue was that I did not have one of the required cIOS installed and there is no easy way to tell... The next two hours were spent ripping all thirty of my Wii games to a harddrive and then playing Broken Sword. It is amazing how much garbage is in each game, ie Ghost Squad is something like 630 megs.
If you havent done it yet, and have a compatible harddrive, go for it. It is well worth the effort to play backups without the odd slowdowns.
So if you have a compatible drive, use the loader to backup the games to the harddrive then transfer them to the pc. It is quick, easy, and you have a compatible disc drive.

Thanks for mentioning this because I haven't heard of it before. I'll have to research it tonight. The reason I love my XBOX a lot is the ability to put my games on the hard disk.fast wrote:So I spent the better part of two hours trying to figure out why it wasnt working, but in the end I got USBloader GX operational. Have you found any of your games to not work with the USBLoader?

Thanks for the info Fast. I saw when this was first released but didn't have a hard drive to use and there weren't many guides on how to get it working properly. I might have to get a Hard drive and try this out.
