CD-X/MultiMega Sound Question

The dubious sound quality of the Megadrive/Genesis 2 compared to the original model is fairly well documented, but what is the situation with the MultiMega/CD-X?

Does it have a revision 1 or revision 2 style AV output, does it deliver mono or stereo, and does it have the Megadrive 2's audio problems?

I've spotted a badly labelled one in an auction, but if the sound's dodgy I'll give it a miss.

I have no idea about the sound output, but I reckon one less bulky AC plug is enough of a reason to get one if the price is right.

Let me put it this way, if you can find on for under $200 then who gives a damn about sound quality?

Anyhow, it souns better than a Genesis 2 and has it's own line out and headphone jacks side by side so it's no slouch in the audio department. Still though the launch model Genesis 1 systems still sound better, but it's not a huge difference such as between the Model 1 & 2 systems.
