The only one I've played is Mike Tyson's Punch Out for the NES version so I can't really say. I've been wanting to pick up the Wii version though.

Well I only played NES and SNES, but on a scale of 1-10:

Punch-Out!! = 7/10
Super Punch-Out!! = 5/10

I'd agree with that ranking.
But the Wii version actually gives the NES version a run for its money

If it wasn't for the nostalgia factor, I'd probably rate the Wii version as numero uno.

nes is all i played and i liked it. well actually i played arcade once as well, but nes was best.

Although the arcade game is the predecessor of the NES Punch-Out!!, the NES cart really got the formula right, and that formula is still being duplicated. I have friends, albeit stupid friends, who say that Punch-Out!! is simply a repetitive game of memorizing moves. I guess there is some truth in that statement, but I've never seen any of them get past the second bout with Piston Honda.

Ah, NES Punch Out!!
I remember blowing that cart on to the point of hyperventilation. I read the shit out of the comic and wrote down all the pass words. But When I was like 7 I remember getting stuck at Super Macho Man and then my NES stopped working. Dammit.
