does disc cleening work?in my experance no quite a few times i have brought games rare games with scrached discs thinking i could get them cleened up at shop for £2 a pop .in fact i wonder if it makes it worse sometimes my friend who is microsoft qualified says if you rub a dirty disc round and round it just pushes dirt into disc and corrupts data.i think he has a point and is prob right
also i do relise that certen consoles dislike scraches more than others ps1 and ps2 don't seem to botherd,but game cube is fussy
anyway would like to here your veiws and experances on this matter

Yes, it does work if the scratch(es) are not too deep.

When I buy used games I clean the bottom of the disc with tissue and rubbing alchohol. Cleans em up nicely. Ofcourse it does not remove scratches. Gets rid of finger prints and all that though.
