On-line retrogaming tourny?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

On-line retrogaming tourny?

Post by durkada »

I'm wondering if there is any interest in an online retrogaming tournament for the racketboy crowd.

I can certainly think of three games I'd like to play again:

Worms: Armaggeddon
Bomberman Online (not the Dreamcast -- a PC version which looks as if its comprised of SNES sprites)
M.U.L.E. via killera (four player goodness)

I would play bomberman online, but I've never heard of that version you mention before.

Well that was lazy of me -- here is a link to the proggy. Apparently the graphics got an overhaul since I last looked -- http://z3.invisionfree.com/Bomberman_On ... howtopic=4

is there any way of using mame for multiplayer? I think it would be cool to play all of those 4 player games(ninja turtles!) again with real people! The fighting games would be cool also.

you can use kailler on mame32k for that. It takes a semi beefy connection for some of the games last time I checked though.

I wouldn't mind playing bomberman online. I don't enjoy M.U.L.E. tho. What version of Wurms armageddon would we be using? Is that for PC?
