Snes imports and converter difficulties

Post by insideinfo »

I have a pal console and a couple of imports that don't work with my ad-29 converter (secret of mana -US, super tetris 3 -J). Can anyone tell me wich import adapter i need to run these games? :?: I have a couple of options:
-fire (md-303-),
-super gamekey from horelec,
-PRO ACTION REPLAY (i think version 1),
-programable universal adapter from datel
-the upgrade version of the ad-29 converter?
modding isn't an option (i have two left hands).

pro action replay kept deleting my saves for JPN games that saved

the best option is to really stick some needle nose pliers or wire cutters into the cartridge door and break off the tabs

i'm left handed and was able to destroy the tabs fine, so i'm sure if you happen to have two left hands destruction will be twice as easy

Breaking the tabs works on ntsc consoles to play jpn games, but he said he has a pal snes. From what I know action replay 3 works great as a converter, it works for me to play pal games on my ntsc snes but I think it also works just as good to play ntsc on pal. Kinda hard to find action replay 3 thou, think I spent $50 on mine. Hope that helps

Haven't seen a PAR2 or PAR3 anywhere. For 10 euros i bought the fire converter because i've heard some good things and the box doens't make it look like a third rate product.

If and when it arrives i'll give an update.

The fire converter came in the mail yesterday and the first thing i did was run to my super nintendo and plug in secret of mana. After weeks of anticipation i was finally going to play it. Or so i thought because the first thing that popped up was a yellow text informing me "this game pak is not designed for your super nintendo". Aaargh. Same thing with my copy of tetris 3. What a letdown  Another 10 euros blown. And to think i bought an american SOM just to save some money  Maybe i'll have better luck with a pro action replay.

*edit* i just tried a PAR1 with SOM and tetris 3 and it gives the same results. :? nothing works, i now have 3 converters laying around that are totally useless. i hate this planet
