Re: What's the rarest game you own?
Battletoads in Battlemaniacs for the SMS i'd imagine (Brazillian sadly, apparently there are a couple EU copies floating about but i've no idea how to get my hands on them)
I've got stuff like Skies of Arcadia and Burning Rangers that've been mentioned in this thread but I didn't know they were rare to be honest
I also have Street Fighter Alpha 2 for SNES (American Cart.) if thats considered rare?

Is that Battletoads game rare? I have a copy too. Love that game. I also have a copy of Final Fight 3 that is complete. Supposedly, that game is quite hard to find in all regions. Also, have Mega Man X 2 and 3. It's fun seeing what everyone else has. I envy those Panzer Dragoon Saga owners

how is that rare? its just a flash cart... perhaps if you had a nanoloop 2.3 cart then it would be rare.

Re: What's the rarest game you own?
There's a lot of hard-to-find games in my collection - Panorama Cotton, UndeadLine & Twinkle Tale for the Megadrive, Snatcher & Secret of Monkey Island for the SEGA-CD, Stellar Assault SS for the Saturn, Kolibri for the 32x, the entire Shining Force III collection for Saturn, plus various Saturn & DC shmups etc
But there's only one game I own that i'd consider rare - Shinrei Jusatsushi Taromaru aka Psychic Killer Taromaru; http://hg101.classicgaming.gamespy.com/ ... romaru.htm - it took me about a year to hunt down, but I finally managed to grab it for a fair (but still damn expensive) price making it the most expensive game I own.

I've got my SEGA collection listed up on backloggery if you want to check it out;

I actually managed to get most of those Megadrive shooters for relatively cheap, mainly in thanks to users on the shmup forums - it's a much better solution than paying the extortionate ebay prices.

Re: What's the rarest game you own?
I have far too many to list. Here's a link to my Game Collection for anyone who wants to look (turn on Public Notes for info):

Not sure which I would say is rarest overall. Maybe my Neo Geo AES collection (under 'NG') that has some Metal Slugs, Samurai Shodown 5 Special Unfixed, Waku Waku 7 JPN, Art of Fighting 3 JPN, Garou: Mark of the Wolves JPN, World Heroes Perfect JPN, Sengoku 2 JPN, etc. Lots of rare carts in there. My Neo Geo MVS collection (under 'Arcade'), there's a Super Dodgeball Kit as well as other great games. My Neo Pocket Color, I've got the rare SNK vs. Capcom 2 Expand Edition, the PAL Faselei, PAL The Last Blade, some nice rarities in there. For Dreamcast, bunch of rarities there, Border Down, Border Down Limited Edition, Segagaga Limited Edition Boxset, Sakura Taisen "Red" Boxset Collection, etc, lots and lots of stuff. For Genesis, there's Mega Man: The Wily Wars, the UK version and other stuff in there.
For Sega Saturn, tons of rarities like the usual Panzer Dragoon Saga U.S. and the Pal Version as well, Burning Rangers U.S., Shining Force III U.S., House of the Dead U.S., Final Fight Revenge Boxset JPN, Psychic Assassin Taromaru JPN, Crows: The Battle Action JPN, Sega Basic Programming Kit JPN, etc., Sega Master System, James Buster Douglas U.S. which is very rare., 32X - complete Spiderman: Web of Fire U.S., which is very rare, 3DO- Lucienne's Quest, etc. I don't know, each section of my collection has lots of rarities. Maybe my 64DD collection. The SuperGraphx stuff. I'd like to get take pics eventually so everyone can get a nice look at everything. Feel free to browse through the list above though for anyone who wants to check it out.

yea I regularly sift through the shmups forum trading section. There havnt been many mega drive games there for a while though

Anywho, my rarest game is likely my copy of dodonpachi (complete with reg card and spine) for psx or possibly ikargua for dreamcast but only because it's still sealed.

Re: What's the rarest game you own?
I don't have any notable amounts of "rare" games, some of my games are said to be fairly rare.
For example, I have an obscure generic pong unit from 1975 entitled "Television Tennis" by a small company called Executive Games, but I really don't know how much it's worth. I also own another generic Pong unit, boxed; the Tele Action TV Game which plays tennis, hockey, squash, and practice.
I've been told that my boxed copy of Kool-Aid Man for the Intellivision is pretty rare too, as well as my Japanese import of House Of The Dead for Sega Saturn (as well as a Japanese Saturn)
