Nominate Together Retro Games for October and November
Re: Nominate Together Retro Games for October and November
The only Castlevania game I can think of that is multiplatform (save for the first one) is SOTN but only because you can download it on 360 and PS3.
Re: Nominate Together Retro Games for October and November
Didn't we do the first Castlevania last year? Not that I'm opposed to doing it again, I've been meaning to play SOTN for a while now. BTW, it's available on the Saturn too.

well I meant the series spans multiple platforms and companies. It also wouldnt hurt to mention that the older castlevania games are easily emulated so most of us could have easy access to which ever one we chose

Yeah, Castlevania wasn't even really that long ago.
I'd like to nominate Space Harrier, because it's amazing and on a million platforms.

Ideas for October:
* House of the Dead 2 (DC, Xbox, Wii), or the series in general (Sat, DC, Xbox, Wii, GBA)
* Mortal Kombat 2 (GEN, SNES, Amiga, PC, GB, GG/SMS, PS1 in Japan, 32X, Saturn, PSP via "Midway Arcade Treasures: Extended Play", and PS2/GCN/Xbox via "Midway Arcade Treasure 2", as well as being unlockable in MK: Shaolin Monks)
* Alone in the Dark series, or just AitD 2 which has the most ports (DOS, Mac, 3DO, PS1 and Sat), though for the title of most ports, it's tied with The New Nightmare (PC, PS1, PS2, DC, and GBC), but the latter is a complete departure from the real games.
* Doom Trilogy (Doom, Doom 2, Final Doom)
Ideas for November, I'll get back to you on that.
