Nominate Together Retro Games for October and November

Post by racketboy »

What games do you think would be good?
We're looking for something that can be played on at least a couple popular platforms.
And we'd like something that isn't arcade-like, we'll be doing some of those before and after.

How about Darkstalkers for October as it's a fighter with a Halloweenish spin and is available on Saturn, PS1, Dreamcast, PS2 and PSP.
My Consoles:
Genesis - Nomad - SegaCD - GameGear - Sega Saturn - Dreamcast - NES - SNES - N64 - Gamecube - Wii - Playstation - PSone & LCD - PS2 - PS3 - Xbox - 3DS

Though I like the idea of a Halloween-ish game, how bout something that at least has multi-company ports? Like DarkStalkers is on multiple systems, but yr list is just Sega and Sony. It'd be cool if we could find something ported to a lot of systems/companies.

For instance, Resident Evil is a horror game and it's available on many, many systems weather you collect Nintendo or Sony or whatever. (That's not necessarily my nomination... just an example).

Also, I like the idea of game-themes having something to do with the time we're playing. Maybe Decemeber or a winter month could be one of the SSX games or something.

If you are going with anything for October I suggest Castlevania just like toredauei stated. It spans on several platforms and it fits the mood of the month.

Have we done Dynamite Headdy yet? That would be a good one for November too.
