Dreamcast PSO USA for free?

I read racketboy's news story on "New way to get your dreamcast online" Checked the links included.

Seems the dc online community that was linked doesn't support PSO USA version since sega shut their servers down.

Anyone play PSO USA version for free? or know how? If it's possible is it worth it ?

The Phantasy Star Online server for the Dreamcast has been emulated for some time now (and Gamecube recently to I think). There are many free private servers to play on. I would suggest you check out http://www.schtserv.com/ which is home of the PSO Server Emulator and some private servers.

Seems very easy to get it running.

Sadly, I moved on. Maybe if they upped the rewards and exp on a portion of the server, I would get back into it.
