Check this out:

http://www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/ ... dChannel=0

Sydney scientists Dr Jennifer MacDiarmid and Dr Himanshu Brahmbhatt, who formed EnGenelC Pty Ltd in 2001, said they had achieved 100 percent survival in mice with human cancer cells by using the "trojan horse" therapy in the past two years.

"We want to be part of moving toward a time when cancers can be managed as a chronic disease rather than being regarded as a death sentence."

Human trials start in the next few months.

I heard about a rival treatment where they basically rewired the cancer sell into consuming itself. This one looks more promising though.

Let's hope it doesn't have adverse effects on humans.

Well, it's apparently gone off without a hitch in all of their animal trials, so here's hoping.

oh please god let this work. cancer has been a thorn in humanity for too long.

and the worst thing about it, you can have a really healthy life, and you might still get it

at least with aids, you can curse yourself for not using a condom

In fairness, I think it's our definition of "healthy" that has led to increased cancer rates in the first place. Unfortunately we don't have a lot of answers yet, but some studies have suggested that processed foods, hormone injected meats, even vitamin D defficiencies (sunblock) may have led to increased rates of cancers.
