So, any of you watched the Confed Cup final?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

that lame tactic also won Greece the 2004 Euro cup. it makes for a bad game to watch, but when it's your team that wins you don't care, and you are really happy :D:D:D:D:D

This is the reason Futball will never catch on with Americans. That many ties is an anathma to the beer swilling sports fan.

There weren't that many ties. The undefeated streak was of 35 games, with some ties here and there. But the ties break the winning streak. It wasn't like there were 15 wins and 20 ties.

Edit: I just found the list of Spain games before the US breaking their undefeated streak. There were actually only 2 ties, against Finland (friendly, 10/17/2007) and Italy (Euro, 06/22/2008).

Just thought that I should say this: Some teams should be careful, for Italy may start claiming royalties for this tactic very soon.

I also worry when the Brazilian team acts too much, Argentinians might get pissed. The Boca Juniors School of Acting business depends on their exclusivity.

really the italians came up with that one? I always thought it was the spanish. or no they are the ones who play great, until they score 1 goal, and then they will pass the ball around to kill time......EVEN if they score in the FIRST effing minute. I'm serious

Don't know if the Italians came up with it, but they've been playing like that for, I don't know, 80 years.

Forgot about it and missed the game, but I saw match between Spain and Southafrica which went to extra time. Surprised to see football talk here, big fan myself but actually don't care about Brasil and the US. Think we have never beatem them yet on world cup qualifying rounds. Well the gold cup is coming up really hope my team can get a rematch in a final against the US.
