Ico prices

Post by chupon »

Maybe I fell outta touch but has anyone else noticed the price for Ico has skyrocketed in the last 6 months!? I just picked up my third copy from gamestop used for $19.99. People are really paying $100+ for minty and almost brand new complete copies? So next question - will this game ever hit the playstation network and should I sell my two extra copies?

I've noticed there's fewer and fewer copies complete with the cardboard sleeve and art cards on ebay these days. Right now there's only a couple of copies all going for over £30 before shipping.

It appears the cardboard version of Shadow of the Colossus is going up in price too, not many copies of that version on there.

I'm just glad I got both my cardboard copies when they came out and they're in mint condition, I haven't even played either of them and I paid £20 for each.

I managed to pick up a copy at a Game Crazy for $8 bucks about a month ago, but that was disc only and that was after a months of searching for a decently priced copy. It's a difficult game to find these days.

People are stupid for buying it at that price, but with interest in the upcoming sequel I'd say it's a good time to make some easy cash off of some unsuspecting eBay chumps.

I still havent played my copy of this yet. I hear nothing but good things for the most part so maybe Ill have to bump it up in the "needs playing" stack.

Yeah I've noticed the price continually creep upwards in the past 6 months, only maybe $AUD20. I think that eBay stores are started to capitalize too much on the cult love for both Ico and Shadow of Colosus.
