Looking for Sidescrolling Schmups

I dont know of any shumps on either system. This article might help you for the Sega CD shumps you're looking for.

the ONLY shmup worth playing on sega cd is Keio Flying Squadron and if you plan on buying an actual copy then be prepared to pay big money for it. I personally dont think its worth all the money it will take you to purchase it.

There is Sol Feace for the Sega CD - I can't remember if it is vert or horz, though.

I think the most popular Sega CD shmup is Aleste.

There is a decent version of Lords of Thunder for the Sega CD. Android Assualt is another good one :)
