Who Is Your Favorite Game Character?

Post by racketboy »

What Video Game characters are your favorite?

Actually, name two characters.... one character that is rather iconic (doesn't talk or show much emotion, but is more focused on style) and one that you actually connect with because of the game's story or the character's personality.

As for me, my iconic choice would be Beat from Jet Grind Radio. Somehow, I kinda bonded with him and I still think there is a bit of a resemblance between us (especially in my skinnier days).

On the more personality aspect, I've liked Phoenix Wright. I guess I can kinda identify with his personality and such. Although, sometimes I wonder how he overlooks certain things so easily :)

One character that is the most memorable is

Barry from Resident Evil

His classic lines always stuck in my mind and used when with friends.

"You were almost a gibble sandwich"

Gibble?

I don't have anything to add. I don't think I've ever "connected" with a character from any medium. The thought of that just creeps me out. They're fictional.

Yes Jibble that what it sounds like. But it's Jill sandwich.

Barry is also famous for his awkward-sounding lines in the first game. Resident Evil notoriously suffered from a terrible and often laughable translation and much of the dialogue was reminiscent of engrish. Out of all the characters, however, Barry is considered by far the worst and, at the same time, funniest. Some of his lines included "What?! What is this?!" at the sight of a giant puddle of blood, or his famous "The master of unlocking" line when referring to Jill's ability to use a lockpick well ["And, Jill, here's a lockpick. It might be handy if you, the master of unlocking, take it with you."]. Other awkward lines stated by Barry include "Whoa! This hall is dangerous!" and "It looks like he was killed by a crow or somethin'! OH MY GOD!" By far, his most famous bad line is the legendary "You were almost a 'Jill Sandwich!'" line. This is said to Jill after she is rescued from a collapsing room and has been lampooned countless times.

I was very disapointed that the GC version was redubbed.

Snybios from Shining Force III, like you said I kind of felt like he looked like me.

I also really like Bonk, especially when I'm him in Saturn Bomberman.
