What about getting PAL releases of the expensive SMT games?

Post by Erik_Twice »

Digital Devil Saga in the US -> 60$
Digital Devil Saga in Europe -> 8$

You lose the colorful spine and you'll need to boot the game in a PAL console or use a mod but that's all.

What do you think?

The spines are a big deal breaker for me.

Really? I like the uniform look of PS2 games in PAL. My 50 game collection is easy to navigate because every game has a consistent style. Just looks more pleasing to the eye to me than the colourful US versions.

I agree. Nothing can beat the sleek & sexy PAL spine. :)

In fact, I don't really care. But if I could choose, I would have colored spines. I find that the white spines don't fit with the PS2 black theme at all, so to me it seems a bit weird (couldn't they have put black spines, white letters?).

And more often than not, European box arts are much better than American ones.

I like the european cover better except for Nocturne. It's feels as if they just put together some pictures and the title and feels inconsistent.

I prefer colored spines too but it is not a great difference.
