Isn't it sad that we have to have to be given ideas of what to do when we have no Net connection?
It seemed like just yesterday that I never had a Net connection (ok, it was 10 years, but it when by fast).
I still used my PC a lot.
I played games. I wrote stuff. I played with graphics. I did homework. I played games.
It's amazing how much the Net has changed our lifestyle in such a small amount of time though...

Fortuntuntly my parents decided to get a second phone line for the computer about a week after we got internet access.Yeah I remember the days waiting until 10pm just to connect online and begin taking up the phone line.
I got my first computer (386/33 MHz, 5MB RAM, 120MB Hard Drive) when I was 6 or 7. Before getting internet access that my PC was mainly just for DOS/Win 3.1 games and word processing. It had no printer so anything I typed up had to be brought into school on a disk to be printed. [/quote]

I don't have Internet connection at home. Haven't for nearly a year.
It's been great. Sitting at work on the .net all day only to return home and do the same was such a waste. Now when I get home it’s all about relaxing with the girl or working on personal projects. My productivity has shy rocketed since the .net has been turned off at home ... not to mention my popularity with the lady

I REALLY miss the days when computers didn't run our lives. I know that I must sound like a hypocrite since I'm on the internet like 16 hours a day, But weren't things better when everything we did for fun involved either being outside, hanging out with friends(in REAL life, not on the net) or a good old game of Monopoly?racketboy wrote:I saw this on the Del.icio.us Hotlist
