I've done it before for practical jokes within my inside friends, but I'm wouldn't seriously make an account for myself with someone other than myself's email address.
My personal favorite was Ima Cumming on Myspace, with a picture of G-mans warped face from G-mod.
Funny thing, he actually kept that account and ran with it for some time, Myspace makes my friend and I both very unhappy pandas.
