I don't watch much TV as much as I used to. I want to watch 24 but I have a problem with it, its like one of those shows that if you missed one episode...you are lost.

Anyway, to my top 5

1. Mystery Science Theater 3000
2. Rocko's Modern Life
3. The Maxx
4. The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. (good ole Bruce Campbell)
5. Twin Peaks

are you talking about the animated mini series that was on MTV sometime in the 90's, based of an Image comic?

if so, I considered putting it on my list as well heh

ATHF
Cromartie High School
Venture Bros
Futurama
Spongebob

*dons flame suit* yes, spongebob, at least until his voice became so high pitched (eg the current voice used in new episodes). Then it wasn't really the multi-audience reaching show it started out to be. The new episodes are slightly entertaining, but they aren't anything special. :(

Boy, lots of good ones here! But, let me start out by sh1tting on other people.

Lost - Seriously? arrbee? The man of impeccable video game taste, SNOOKERED by the most bogus show EVAR. I admit I have seen every episode up to the last mid-season break. That is because it is addicting. But so is crystal meth, and like crystal meth it is pretty much garbage that anyone could make (write at least). Obviously you can have interesting suspensful situations when it really doesn't make any sense, and nothing really gets explained. At least Twin Peaks had style!

ST:TNG & X-Files - Love both, but sorry man, they both suffered from their long production runs, and there are a LOT of filler episodes.

Babylon 5 - Do you know how many times I've tried to watch this? I truly want to watch it, but I can't get through the first season. The horrible acting, silly dialog, and cheesy effects just pull me right out of what seem like great stories. Tell me it gets better. I expect Bruce Boxleitner would have to be an improvement over the first guy.

Six Feet Under - Yeah, at first... then I realized I hated every single character except for the gay brother (who was just as good in Dexter). After the 1st season it started going flat. I liked the finale though (except the music was too much).

King of the Hill - OK, I'll admit that Hitler's falconing glove had me in tears, but watching this show is mostly a blank stare. Kinda like Beavis and Butthead - a few gems, and a lot of crap.

A-Team - This is a nostalgia joke right? Have you seen this as an adult? What about Knight Rider? Dukes of Hazzard? Classics.

And I certainly hope all of you meant the UK Office not the US Office. I like the US Office, but the UK Office is in a class by itself.

Here's my lists (only shows I've nearly completed are eligible, and no miniseries):

Comedy:
1.) The Newsroom (1st season, which used to be the whole series, but then years later they made more, which I haven't seen)
2.) The Office (UK) - so funny you can't look at the screen?
3.) Family Guy (Sealab was funnier at it's peak, ATHF is weirder, Futurama was higher quality, but none were as consistently hilarious)
4.) MST3K - You know, I don't even laugh that much at it but I really like it, and it is a comedy

Action:
1.) Spooks (aka MI-5) - writing and acting a notch above American offerings, any character can be killed off in any episode, and doesn't rely on cliffhangers
2.) 24 - Gotta give Jack Bauer his credit. This is to TV as Die Hard is to movies - definitive action. Too gimmicky to be #1.
3.) Rome - Would probably be #1 if I had better taste. Wonderful is all aspects.
4.) Alias - Just kidding. I hate Alias. Seriously, this is a joke.

Sci-Fi:
1.) Farscape - That's right, bitches. Not perfect, but better than everyone else. Teabagged by abrupt ending.
2.) Firefly - The bandwagon is right with this one. Was destined to be the best ever, but got Foxed-up.
3.) Battlestar Galactica - Could very well trade places with Farscape soon. 100% beef, no filler.

Drama:
1.) Sopranos - Sorry, but it's true. I don't care about the mob, but I love quality TV. Last season wasn't as good as before...
2.) Intelligence - A show that has spies, conspiracies, and organized crime, yet doesn't make you swallow a big pill? Only here.
3.) Twin Peaks (1st season) - I keep putting of the 2nd season because I don't believe it can match the first as the greatest American primetime broadcast network drama.

Non-fiction:
1.) Top Gear - even if you don't love cars
2.) The Screensavers - a computer show that isn't for n00bs?
3.) Fifth Gear - less entertaining than Top Gear, but arguably better reviews
4.) Computer Chronicles - grab some from archive.org and go back to the pre-internet computing days. Ahhh, memories.

Of course I have left out a lot of stuff, some of which I may like better, but just haven't seen enough of yet. The Wire, Sliders, Arrested Development, Weeds, Dexter, Dr Who, Deadwood, Duckman, Entourage, Carnivale, and tons more. That would be a really long list that I don't want to type.
