Questions about printing cover art.

Post by newt42 »

Using thecoverproject.net, I plan on printing custom DVD cover art for my CD based games.

What kind of printer do I need to use?

What kind of paper do I need to use, and where will I find it?
Systems: SNES, PS1, GBA SP, Gamecube, DS Lite, Wii, PS3 (Fully Backwards Compatible), Dreamcast, Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis, a Sega CD, and a Sega Saturn.

I personally buy my paper off of RedRiverPaper.com, after it was recommended on TCP. I get the 50lbs legal and I've been very happy with it. It's a matte finish and the paper is heavy enough that it doesn't suffer from having so much ink deposited on it.

I've decided that all of my past-gen discs should be put into Case Logic cases to save room. Cuz right now, on my DVD shelf, I've got over three shelves devoted to the 128-bit systems, excluding any demo discs.

I've already did it for my PSone games, except multi-disc releases (for now), and plan on doing so for my games for the Saturn and Dreamcast (actually, I already use CD wallets from the Dollar Tree for my CD-R's, which make up all but FOUR of my Dreamcast discs).

I'm already doing this with my PC discs and my Sega CD games (all of which are CD-R's).
