Arcade games on craigslist.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Is this a good deal? If i do go look at these with the prospect of buying, what should i look for? Would either of these be good for converting to mame?

I value all of your advice.

Those are Crazy cheap! I would get at least the Side Arms cabinet. It's in good shape. I dont know much about making MAME's but I know you could gut it and use the cabinet for a MAME.

Yeah that's sick cheap. Side arms for sure and raiden is pretty sweet. I think it would be worth it. You could always try and haggle it to 250 if you're unsure. I think its an amazing deal.

ok, i just emailed the man, he said the picture is not as good on the sidearms game so thats why he's asking less. I will call him tomorrow, but it looks like i could get both together for under 200 bucks...
again, any more advice would be cool, this would be my first arcade purchase.

Hmm, it appears you shouldn't buy them as a lot, but rather one at a time. It's 100 dollars cheaper this way :P

Dude...you've gotta keep it original!

Yes that's a great price for both.

 I wish I had deals like that near me.I couldn't find anything below $200,so I built my own plus I wanted it a little bit smaller than the normal sized cabinets.Raiden is a classic, you should get a crap arcade if your going to convert it to Mame.

thanks for posting this, I just called him and I'm going to pick them up right now...

j/k

but yeah, if you can get both for around 200 bucks, do it. One has the monitor mounted vertically and the other horizontal, so if you wanted to MAME them, you could play each set of games right or you could restore them, or just throw a 60 in one board in the horizontal cabinet.

here's a good resource with people that will help you with whatever is wrong with the monitor, but I wouldn't post it till you get the games because someone on there might actually do what I was joking about, http://forums.arcade-museum.com/

Thats about the usual price for Raiden at auction, but that is cheap for Sidearms. I am curious on his math though...
