Free downloads for your DS @ McDonalds! (pics)

Post by hashiriya1 »

So i grabbed a quick bite at Mickey D's and noticed that if you bring your
DS to a McDonald's restaurant, you can download free demos of the new
Pokemon games as well as free mini games. I didn't have my DS on me, or I would
have partook in this!

I went to a McDonalds once where they had four Gamecubes setup on four different TV's, each with four controllers. One had Super Monkey Ball in, another with mario kart, and two others. It was pretty neat.
Systems: SNES, PS1, GBA SP, Gamecube, DS Lite, Wii, PS3 (Fully Backwards Compatible), Dreamcast, Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis, a Sega CD, and a Sega Saturn.

I know Nintendo's had a partnership with McDonalds to give you free DS WiFi in the store since launch, which I used several times in college (McDonalds in the student union). Doesn't surprise me that they'd also toss in demos in Japan.

Do people understand what you're talking about when you say Mickey D's in Japan?

I remember seeing a similar display at a Mickey D's in Canada, except there was two instead of four.

I never call it 'Mickey D's' here. I just call it what everyone else calls it; "makku".
