Reliable Capture Device
Reliable Capture Device
I'm in need of a reliable capture device and have about $35 to spend. I have a DVD recorder that I can record gameplay with, but it's a hassle to have to finalize the DVD and rip it to my computer. I also experience a slight delay when trying to record certain SSBM, and am not sure if this delay would exist with other games as well.

Re: Reliable Capture Device
What you need to do is record at maximum quality with either AV, S-Video or Component in standard definition, and outputting to the TV in standard def. to get a picture that doesn't lag.

Re: Reliable Capture Device
In your DVD recorder's settings.
All you need to do is either check your manual for it, or download a free PDF of the manual from the manufacturer. I wouldn't know exactly what to do as I don't know your make or model number, but it's usually listed in your recording options.

Re: Reliable Capture Device
I'll try that out. I know we have no idea where the manual is, and I'm pretty sure we don't have the remote. We've been using a different remote for the same brand dvd player.

A fishing net,
bear trap,
and an old school snare attached to a little sapling awaiting a foot to trigger it.

Re: Reliable Capture Device
Well, from what I know and from personal experience, there is no good capture device out there. They either have bad quality or they have about a half-second delay.
