Do you mean biggest in number of employees or do you mean biggest in their resume of games? Also, do you mean companies that are at least 15 years old or just one company that has operated sometime in the last 15 years?

If by that you mean largest company the answer is Electronic Arts by a significant margin.

Not in size biggest; and not neccesarily the biggest money maker.

I mean in terms of influence and importance to the industry

Names that come to mind of course are EA and Capcom

SquareSoft has been my consistent favorite for years :D

Yes, Squaresoft had a huge impact on video games. Final Fantasy 7 taught the industry that you could spend an insane amount of money making a video game and still make it all back plus some.

Activision for being the very first third party developer.

Sega for making the first 3-D fighting game.

Nintendo for reviving the concept of the console from near-death.

Enix for creating the modern console RPG (Am I right on that one? Dragon Quest?)

Sierra for combining cinematics and gameplay.

Some of that was more than 15 years ago, but oh well. :)
