Did you ever buy a console that was a failure?

Yeah, I'm honestly surprised this didn't turn you off of console gaming altogether. Although I'd like to get a Jaguar and 3DO now, back then it was worse than a death sentence.

Back then it didn't really bother me because i was so young. Ne-way with Tempest 2K,AvP,Doom.Wolfenstein 3D,and rayman it wasn't all that bad.I liked several 3DO games ....Gex pwned back then and it still is really fun. Not to mention my first handheld was the lynx(father loved atari) then i got the turbo express.I never owned another NEC system until a few years ago when i got a turbo duo .I don't know what it was with my parents and getting me crappy systems=0.I got a neo geo aes in 1996ish with money i had saved from my birthdays.I only had magician lord and nam 1975 for years because the carts were so expensive. In late 1996 i got my first console that wasn't a "failure" from an economic standpoint, the N64.My parents were the type that tought expensive things were better just because they were expensive or something. I have never really understood them.

Yeah, I think we can all agree the Dreamcast was far from a failure, despite Sega's financial situation during that era.
