Great quote, its a great anime.
Segatari2002 wrote:I think for true collectors it isn't so much much about having collected enough, as it's more about the thrill of collecting in general. For me its more about the thrill of the chase and less about the time I get to spend playing. I have a 9-5 job and a wife who is currently in school so I'm left with very little real playing time whatsoever. But that doesn't mean I'm going to ever stop collecting.
Feel the same as you, for me there is a satisfaction and joy about collecting the game and connecting the console and seeing that game for the very first time. Usually play only a few minutes then I probably don't play it for months or never again, but I do think I need to play more and come here less.

Well, even though I started this thread, I'm not sure I would know how to stop. I think I'm done, but then today I just had to see if there was anything in the Goodwill as I went by, and it just so happened that there was a Gamecube for $10. Well, that's just too good of a deal to pass up, so I now I have a new system... and what good is a new system if you don't buy all of the good games for it? Finally I can get Ikaruga! And Metroid Prime! and and and!!! *glee*

...oh boy... what have I gotten myself into?

That really seems the best way to do it. Take it one console at a time. Right now I'm completely focused on my Saturn, as their are so many games I have yet to get for it (Darius Gaiden, Duke Nukem 3D, WipeOut, Dragon Force, Astal etc.). Then I will probably move to Genesis then who knows after that.
I agree totally, its much easier to do it that way. I focused on Neo a for about 4 months, and finished it up. And now I have moved on to N64
How anticlimactic. Have fun with Dual Heroes and KI gold.

Nothing wrong with KI Gold. Hey kingdom, is that list in the buy/sell/trade forum still correct as to what you currently don't have for the 64? You're getting awfully close to the end.

All this talk about N64 has me thinking about getting one again. A blue Funtastic would be sweet.

Problem is, I'd probably only get a few games for it. I never really played the one I had back when I had it. The only titles I can think of are Mario 64 and Cruisin USA. I've already got Ocarina of Time on GCN.
