Yeah, it's more of a show-off move. What about LP, MK, <-, MP, HK in Marvel vs Capcom? Morrigan's Eternal Slumber, where she calls Lilith to help her 'relax' her opponent behind a pink curtain? Some of the sprites that randomly flash behind the pink curtain are poses that belong to Lilith, so who knows.
