Those black dots are there for a reason!

About the PC engines, I don't think the kids who work at these places know WTF they are doing.

So far, the best prefecture with these shops is hands-down Iwate prefecture. Why? Because nobody up there buys this stuff, and no foreign gamers ever make it up that far. The ones in Yamagata and Akita come in tied at 2nd place. I drive A LOT, haha.
It sounds like you're got all of Tohoku covered! Great! Living in the Tokyo metro area, there's not much need for me to have a car. Gotta admit, I wish I had access to the same shops as you do.

Here's a quick questions for you: how common are PC Engines where you are? Any model of system. I have a very hard time finding PCEs around Tokyo outside of places like Akihabara. I only see them every few months, while I come across Neo Geos and 3DO quite often for some reason (not many games though, unfortunately).

Those black dots are there for a reason!
Then PM me, if you don't mind. I'm curious about that, and also what PCE console prices are. I've seen Radiant Silvergun near me for 一万円 flat, and boxed PCE systems for 四千円. Duos for 五千円. It's just not often I see them at all.
