Picked up a strange Super Famicom controller today.

Post by hashiriya1 »

So I was digging thru the junk bins at a local game shop, and I found this controller which was attached
to a Super Famicom modem. It was so weird that I had to buy it. I played a couple games with it.
It feels weird having a wide SFC controller. The left and right arrow buttons up top are START and SELECT.
I just thought I'd share it with you guys since I've never seen it before, maybe some of you haven't either.

I had seen one before mixed in with Mahjong controllers. But I agree, it is an odd one.

Here is a video of the boxed set it came with:

Maybe its a controller for that online Satcom game service Nintendo had back in the day.

The left and right arrow buttons on the top say "previous page" and "next page" in Japanese.

That looks pretty cool, can we get a pic of the controller next to a regular Super Famicom one to get a good look at the difference in size?

Might be obvious to you, but those of us who can't read Japanese appreciate the info.

That is definitely an interesting controller indeed... I see so many buttons on there it reminds me of the Jaguar controller...8)
