Ok, I know this might seem unfair to all the work you did, but aren't you able to clean up a little bit the background noise when the characters talk?

Re: My 3D animation
I do a fair bit of work with film and TV folk (as a systems administrator), and I'm seeing more and more studios using Blender 3D either for partial or full pipeline work.

It's a great package, and getting better with every release. Best of all, as a student you get access to the full package without restrictions thanks to it being free / open source software. No crippleware - you get to play with the same tools the big companies do.

Re: My 3D animation
Since a couple of people in this thread are in the know when it comes to animation, what are your recommendations for the best 2D animation software?
Re: My 3D animation
Some free software for that purpose was announced on BlenderNation several years ago. It's called Pencil 2D. Here's a link: http://www.blendernation.com/2007/06/03 ... -software/Since a couple of people in this thread are in the know when it comes to animation, what are your recommendations for the best 2D animation software?
That's a fair question. I sort of had to learn sound editing as I made this, and the BG noise didn't seem so bad to me, so I didn't bother learning how to clean it. Next time I'll work on that a little harder.Ok, I know this might seem unfair to all the work you did, but aren't you able to clean up a little bit the background noise when the characters talk?
I agree. The Blender I started learning in 2005 is NOT the same Blender that's out today. (I still remember how excited I was when they added raytraced reflections, then SSS, and later even cloth simulation.) It's catching up with stuff like 3DS Max and Maya really fast.I do a fair bit of work with film and TV folk (as a systems administrator), and I'm seeing more and more studios using Blender 3D either for partial or full pipeline work.

Re: My 3D animation
Wow, I remember hearing about this, but I didn't know it was available for Linux. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Bye bye Flash (hopefully).Anayo wrote:Some free software for that purpose was announced on BlenderNation several years ago. It's called Pencil 2D.
