Are there any EyeToy games worth playing?

Post by J T »

I saw that the EyeToy only costs about $5 bucks for a used one, so I was thinking I might give it a try just for the heck of it. I've never played with an EyeToy before though. Do any of you guys have one and are any of the games worthwhile? I'm thinking of getting EyeToy:Kinetic for when I don't feel like going to the gym and it's too rainy to go outside. I'm also think of getting EyeToy:Play since it's kind of a sampler and it gets decent metacritic ratings.

Any recommendations?

Save your five bucks, they suck.

And not because they are boring (They are) but also because the controls suck.

Its a cheap novelty, I liked it as a kid but theres a reason its 5 bucks now. If you like that sort of thing it can be fun to toy around with. Play is much better than Kinetic though. Much more relaxed as well as responsive.

I saw one at the game store the other day and thought the same thing. They are just so damn cheap! If you do get one, post your impressions. I'm curious. Dangerously curious.

Well, I found a buy 3 games for 10 dollar special and I got Antigrav, Kinetic, and Play, plus an EyeToy for an extra 5 spot. I'll let you know what I think once I get a chance to play them.

There are a couple of others games I'm interested in that I'm wondering if any of you have played.

Sega Superstars:

Apparently you play classic Sega games using the EyeToy. Sounds interesting.

Yourself! Fitness:

I'm interested in occassionally using the EyeToy to get in a little exercise. This one has some good user reviews on Amazon. Anyone here tried it?

Here's another interesting looking EyeToy game, but I can't find much about it. I'm not sure if it was never finished or if it just didn't make it to the USA, since it was developed in London.

I can't speak for it's quality (obviously, because of earlier posts) but it has for some reason been popping up on a lot of sites for me lately. Which- is totally odd. I guess people like it? ::shrug::

Poor man's Wii Fit perhaps?

Oh and the Sega Superstars game looks really interesting, especially if its cheap.
