I get it, and I laughed. Still, do you want to spend hours upon hours on one boss when your friend, who already did it, can offer advice or easily help you out with it so both of you can enjoy the game?metaleggman wrote:At the friend comment, I just hate friends with low frustration tolerance. They really make games no fun.

I usually think having someone help me out is alright. Tho I honestly haven't played any single-player games with friends, so I can't say.Saraph wrote:I get it, and I laughed. And that's why they made crappy third party controllers!retrogamer wrote:My biggest pet-peeve is friends and family members who eat food while playing my consoles. Wash your grubby paws before touching the controller and don't eat while playing. If I see one more cheese doodle stain on my white Dreamcast controller or my white DSL I swear I'm going to go berserk.

Yeah, I'll add that to my list.Perseid wrote:Screwy save systems. RPGs where you have to make it 45 minutes without a save point then giving you 3 save points in the next 10 minutes. Resident Evil and its save ribbon crap. <shiver>
I have a short attention span and don't like to have long gaming sessions.
Saving is incredibly important to me...

I don't see what the problem really was with RE's Ink Ribbons? Maybe just for people who need to save a lot?Perseid wrote:Screwy save systems. I save a lot. It's not necessarily that I need to. It's that I don't know whether I need to or not. And since there are a set number of ribbons and I don't know how many there are how do I know if I'm wasting a ribbon that I'll need later when the game gets really hard?Zork wrote:I don't see what the problem really was with RE's Ink Ribbons? I don't want to be worrying about things like that while the zombie dogs are biting my feet.
*PS2 titles that lack 480p (This is just completely unjustified and moronic)
*Cheating AIs (this is okay ONLY in certain situations like if its a high difficulty setting. Most arcade originated games suffer from this)
*Bad cameras (Lego Star Wars, all 3D Sonics)
*Poor textures (Vines and trees in Zelda OOT)
*Poor graphics due to lazy development or stupid hardware limitations (N64, Saturn SOTN, early PSX, many PS2 titles)
*Repeated load times (initial load times are fine, but FF7,8,9,10 sucked. 12 rules!)
*Excruciatingly impossible tasks in games (treasure chests/item drop/steal system in FF12. SOTN has nothing on this)
*Bad save systems (Breath of Fire V, MegaMan X)
*Slow gameplay (FF9 just felt so damn slow...)
*Lack of optional sidequests/secrets in a game (Grandias)
I'm sure I can think of more...
