Dreamcast Pal Cases

Alright, I recently bought shenmue 2 from some guy on ebay. The one thing I was worried about is how well he packaged the games. Sigh... the games came in two days ago and the cases were shattered in pieces. He should have bubble wrapped both cases but instead, he put both cases in one big bag. The inserts and games are all in good condition, so I want to know if there is another case I can use other than the dreamcast pal cases that are easy to break. Has anybody come up with any better solution to this?

xm.... how about you go to your local used games shop and ask if they have any spare cases, and if not, buy the cheapest game they have and change the case?


and yeah ebay and packaging sucks.

The problem with Dreamcast PAL casing is that it was specifically designed to hold the Dreamcast game as well as a rather thick instruction booklet for most European releases due to the instructions being printed in several languages in one booklet. Also the front and back cover inserts do not line up properly with anything but the original PAL case design so your best option is probably going to be to purchase some really cheap PAL DC sports titles and change out the cases. That's what I wound up having to do for Headhunter and Shenmue 2.

I would go to the nearest 2nd hand store which is next to my gf's house and get a few ChuChu Rocket copies they're selling for 1 € each and use the cases

Thats what happened to my import of Headhunter. The tray inserts and shit were too tall to fit in USA jewel cases I had to do some careful trimming, but it still looks odd.
