I took the morning off. With the storm, i was afraid i was going to have a powerout and lose whatever progress on the project i'd be working on.
It is a good habit to get into. Vampire power loss and all that.molotovwars wrote:The last time there was a bad thunder and lightning combo I rolled out of bed at 2:30 to unplug my laptop and my wii. Its not always, but if its on my mind I do it. I also sometimes unplug them once I'm done with them regardless of how the weather is.
That is what i fear. A gamecube i could replace pretty easy but a chipped saturn would be a little bit of work.fast wrote:When a big storm comes through, the NAS and gaming pc get unplugged, everything else it depends on how big. Most others are easily and cheaply replaced, but until I get another backup, the NAS is damn near invaluable. I did lose my launch Gamecube to a storm several years ago.
I lost a full computer back in 03. Fried the motherboard and powersupply. I was due for a new one, but it still sucked.
I think i'm going to get a couple more surge protectors. My collection has grown and the ammount of things plugged in has as well.
