What's your favorite Virtua Fighter character?

Pai or Sarah. I like them best. Both are decently fast characters, and while Sarah isn't nearly as subtle as Pai she can certainly deal the damage.

I've always been a big fan of Jacky; sacrifices a bit of power for speed, but not so much he's under-powered. I like that in a fighting game character. Plus he has rad hair!

Lau, because of my distaste for counters and because he's such an offense-oriented character. Plus, his moves chain together very well. My favorite combo with him drops about two-thirds of someone's health, it's disgusting. Good times.

Yeah Rent A Hero is pretty awesome, and the Sonic Fighters characters completely slipped my mind as I haven't played the game in a while.

While we're all on this subject has anyone here seen the Virtua Fighter anime, and has it led you to favor a particular character over another?

I've been meaning to pick it up as it's one of the few action/comedy series about a video game that actually expands on the characters and universe of the game. Plus it's one of the few Animes of the era that got a decent dub.

Unfortunately the remaining 11 episodes of the series were never brought over to the states, so the only way to finish watching it is through fansubs on YouTube or some other means.

Kage and Lau rock. But then when I played VF5 for the first time just 3 months ago, I got enamoured with Eileen and Brad (lol).



Eileen moves faster than the Tazmanian devil!! And Brad is strong and quite easy to control for a new player.

If we're talking Fighters Megamix, well... I love Janet (from Virtua Cop 2), and the devastating B.M. and Mahler. And Siba!!!
