Phone Question

Post by SpaceBooger »

My son recently broke my wife's phone. Since I can renew my contract next week I will get a new phone and have my old one transfered to her until she can upgrade.
So my question is: Is it worth the extra $10 a month to get either a Blackberry Pearl or the Motorola Q vs keeping my regular plan and getting a non internet phone?
We have Altell as our carrier and we can't get version stuff until the end of the year, I want an internet phone but don't really know the advantage of it... and is it worth the $10 a month?

I think this just boils down to how bad you want the internet on your phone. A couple of my friends use it for Myspace and forums, I personally spend enough time around home that there's not enough benefit for me in it.

Personally, I just use the bare minimum in cell phone technology. Although if we had Japan's credit card phone application that would be great...

I would definitely say it depends on how much you use the internet on your phone... 8)

I just got the $10 keyboard phone and kept the same plan... I think my brain and muscles would rot if I spent any more time on the net than I already do. And if I was paying extra for the data plan I would have no money to pay the doctor bill to fix the rot.

DO NOT get a blackberry pearl if you plan on using the keyboard to type anything. it's ridiculous.

i love my G1 and use it all the time so it's worth it for me, but i dunno about a motorola Q.
