Re: Wii-Hidden Gems
Ultimate Shooter Collection was worth it for Radilgy alone as I felt it stole the show from the other two. Plus every time I play it I can't help but think of it as if it were a Jet Set Radio shmup due to it's art style, and general Japanese quirkiness.
My Consoles:
Genesis - Nomad - SegaCD - GameGear - Sega Saturn - Dreamcast - NES - SNES - N64 - Gamecube - Wii - Playstation - PSone & LCD - PS2 - PS3 - Xbox - 3DS

I prefer Karous since even though the art-style is really bland. It attempts to be striking with its many shades of grey but it just falls flat. However the scoring system is a bit easier to understand and that makes it more accessible for me.Mod_Man_Extreme wrote:Ultimate Shooter Collection was worth it for Radilgy alone as I felt it stole the show from the other two. I think when I realized that Ikaruga's scoring system was based on whether or not you could chain, and if you couldn't your score would be ass, that I gave up on all Shmup scoring systems. For me, the only score that matters is getting to the end or not. I'm still working on pulling that off for pretty much every Shmup I own.

Re: Wii-Hidden Gems
I know a lot of people seem to like it but, I just did not like BlastWorks. Something just feels off to me.
I do love me some Excite Truck & Excite Bots though. Apparently those sold pretty poorly but they are damn fun.
I'm just a little dissapointed that 'Bots doesn't have the MP3 playback option.

I agree with Excitebots. Once I start playing I can't stop trying to get all stars possible on each course.
Thanks everyone...
Re: Wii-Hidden Gems
Shocked no one has mentioned Little King's Story, that game is probably one of the better games on the console that no one has played.
And I know I've mentioned this time and time again, but MLB Power Pros and MLB Power Pros 2008 for Wii and PS2 are some of the most underrated and underappreciated gems on either console, and I feel as if any RPG fan or Baseball fan should give them a try. I'm not much into baseball but I absolutely loved those two games for it's RPG mode and general mechanics.

I've been wanting to try it, but I'm completely broke til Summer now (collegeJosh wrote:Shocked no one has mentioned Little King's Story, that game is probably one of the better games on the console that no one has played.
So far one of my favorite games to relax to is Dawn of Discovery. It's sort of like SimCity set in the 1600/1700's, but spanning a few islands and some of it's own quirks. It's a lot of fun though, especially since the only SimCity for Wii seems to have had it's share of problems (I ended up never playing it due to customer reviews).

Re: Wii-Hidden Gems
Was it released in PAL territories? It seems like something good to get, at least it's cheaper than importing the games included.Mod_Man_Extreme wrote:Ultimate Shooter Collection
Looking for some info about the game only reminded me of how ignorant IGN is. "More like random shooter collection lolz".
