hi team , does anyone have a Gamecube Drive Version 04 / 2002 / 02 .....what POT ohms do you have it set to with success ?

I don't think the drive version has anything to do with the POT setting. It's my understanding that each cube is individually set at the factory for the optimum setting. Supposedly the GameCube will lower the POT setting over time as it ages.

I would take the initial reading, record it and then tweak it in 20 ohms steps (hard to do) until you get DVD-Rs to work reliably. A lot of people get it to work around 175-200 ohms. Some were higher. Some were lower. You shouldn't go below 100.

What mod chip are you using? I've found the Viper chip with the default BIOS to be pretty crappy at handling DREs. GCOS works better for most games.

hiya gtmtnbiker , from my findings through a website that is now defunct people would post their POT ohm info and what media they were using along with their drive version. I studied it and found that the POT ohms they set it to would average.

I dont have a Mod in my Cubes im using SD Media Launcher and booting GCOS from there.

ill take your advice and see how i go i might start at the 250 mark and go down from there.
