Capcom @ E3

Post by fingersmaloy »

Okay, this is killing me.

There's been all this talk about Capcom revealing two "mystery" titles at E3. One of them turned out to be an American release of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, which, though cool, is kind of a lame surprise since people already knew it was a game that existed. Also because it's a Wii game.

The other game is supposedly an action game, NOTE Devil May Cry 5, from an established Capcom franchise, and being developed by Capcom Japan.

Rumors last fall stated they were working on a Devil May Cry-style Strider game.

E3 is over.

So what the hell is it?! If it's Strider I'm gonna throw a party. Why isn't there any info on this yet?

Actually I'd rather have something similar to the NES Strider than a rehash of any of the other ones. But a Devil May Cry where you play with Hiryu would probably be even better than any of those possibilities.

I'm feeling a little sour about Capcom lately, charging people to unlock costumes on SFIV. Shame on them I hate paying extra for things that should have been included in the $60.00 price. That was a greedy bitch move on their part.

Resident Evil on the PSP? I guess that's...sort of...an action game.

Bummer.

Yeah, Capcom is really a shit company these days. I honestly don't care about ANYTHING they are working on. They are nickel and diming everyone with every new game, Resident Evil 5 was a lesser game than Resident Evil 4, Mega Man 9 was just a rehash, Street Fighter 4 is just...well, more Street Fighter. Plus, Capcom is really just following the crowd these days. Notice how both Resident Evil 5 and the upcoming Lost Planet 2 are placing heavy emphasis on co-op and online play, which is all the rage these days.

Capcom is just...so lame lately. I just don't get it. They used to be a leader. Where's THAT Capcom?
