Drinkin' Games

Post by vejita »

I don't drink- it's not an activity included in my post-high school path... but it is damn fun to play battletoads and double dragon with a friend and make a drinking game based on how many times the game makes you feel nostalgic. And no, being drunk doesn't make the bike levels any easier...
Also, playing Wii Sports while tipsy just makes things extra fun. Not to say that alcohol necessarily makes games better(and thus advocating consistently combining the two), but damn, it was fun. I always have a hard time relaxing so I could do more with "special occasion" drinking games. Anyone else had a more enjoyable/interesting game while intoxicated (hopefully not any minors, but kids these days...)

If you don't drink, how do you know it's fun?

I imagine games like Rez would feel more immersive and thus more fun, but to be honest that game was probably designed to suit a different chemical....

... when I said "I don't drink," I meant that I *normally* don't drink, as in its not my thing. I made an exception last night...is that what you were asking?

The first time I played Wii bowling while drinking my friend threw the Wii mote across the room into the wall... the last time I played Wii bowling while drinking I threw my brother-in-law's Wii mote across the room into the wall.

Not to go off topic, but did you guys know that there is more to playing with a paper football than just flicking it through makeshift uprights? My friend and I were bored at work today and he taught me the game. It is pretty fun and can easily be turned into a drinking game. He also taught me how to play bloody knuckles, which has nothing to do with bloody knuckles and can just as easily be turned into a drinking game.

I love drinking and playing mario party, people always get over competitive with a game meant for children and hilarity ensues

Once when I was about 18 or 19, a friend and I were playing Mario Kart 64, and we wanted to get drunk. Being minors, obtaining alcohol at mid-afternoon was nearly impossible - especially without money.

The only thing we had was an old (nearly full) bottom of cinnamon Shnapp's. In order to endure what we were about to put ourselves through, we made a game out of it: Loser of each race takes a shot. Pretty simple, right?

Well, the problem was if someone would get on a streak, the other person would end up taking multiple shots within several minutes. It ended up getting really competitive and belligerent, with obligatory shit-talking and all that good stuff. Eventually we had to hit Rainbow Road to slow things down and sober up.
