Genesis Composite Cable Errors

I'm having a problem with my Genesis composite cables. When I turn on the console, the picture scrolls rapidly to the left, there's also no color and no sound. On some of my TVs, the signal even cuts out completely. I've tried cleaning the contacts on the main Genesis board and the cables. What else can I do to fix this?

Do you have any other cables you could try, even the RF cable?

I tried an RF cable, but no signal went through at all. The screen didn't even change from static.

Sounds like something is wrong with the Genesis itself, then.

Are you trying to play it on an HDTV?

Try it out on a Standard Def. set, and if it works fine then it simply means your HDTV doesn't like the particular signal the Genesis is sending out, and is a pretty common occurrence among various older systems and HDTV's.
