Video Game "Look what I found"
Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
The one shortcoming of Star Fox 64 is that they used real voices instead of the gibberish.

I dunno, Star Fox 64 balanced it out very well; along with the stellar gameplay you got well written and well voiced characters that wouldn't be the same otherwise.MrPopo wrote:The one shortcoming of Star Fox 64 is that they used real voices instead of the gibberish.
Given there was some overacting mostly with Peppy and Slippy, it never feels forced, overly-cheesy, or inappropriate for the game.

I'm not saying the voice acting was bad. I'm just saying that the jabbering from the SNES holds a special place in my heart, and I wish they'd use that.

Not a game, but I found a Sony Watchman in perfect condition, January 1984. Works perfectly, and I even plugged a Genesis into it and played some black and white Madden. $2

I've got a Sony Watchman too (August 91'), it's sad they're nothing more than a curiosity anymore due to digital broadcasts. The Apprentice wrote:Not a game, but I found a Sony Watchman in perfect condition, January 1984. Well, I get about 8 channels on it, so I'm going to have it on when the broadcasts stop, so I can see an era end with my own eyes.Mod_Man_Extreme wrote:I've got a Sony Watchman too (August 91'), it's sad they're nothing more than a curiosity anymore due to digital broadcasts. The Apprentice wrote:Not a game, but I found a Sony Watchman in perfect condition, January 1984. I'm pretty sure you can opt to change between English and Cornerian speech in the options screenMrPopo wrote:I'm not saying the voice acting was bad. I'm just saying that the jabbering from the SNES holds a special place in my heart, and I wish they'd use that.

I always heard it as "Dooboo Doo Dahbahduh"
All this said, I still prefer the English voice over. Barrel Roll etc...
