Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

The first video game I ever played was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the Amiga in what must have been 1992, or so I've been told. I would've only been one or two years of age at that point in time. First game I have vivid memories of playing was Doom II, then Duke Nukem 3D about a year later, followed by Double Dragon (first arcade game I ever played. I got my ass utterly destroyed) then Street Fighter II with my father. In 1995 I got a Genesis for my fifth birthday with the 6-Pak pack-in with Sonic the Hedgehog, Golden Axe, Revenge of Shinobi, Streets of Rage, Super Hang-On, and Columns and played the utter shit out of it, as well as Quake on the PC with my father around that same time. My dad was my PC-gaming buddy, playing through TMNT, Doom II, and Duke Nukem with me, as well as Streets of Rage and various fighting games (most notably Tekken 3 on his only non-PC console, the PlayStation, and Fighters Megamix on my Saturn). My dad was always my biggest inspiration for getting into video games; he still plays them a ton today, in fact I hear him blasting away at either Team Fortress 2 or Bioshock right now. He has a deep interest in my more console-based preferences, but I think he has a hard time playing most games with a gamepad, he's very much accustomed to the good old keyboard and mouse by this point. Still, we coax eachother into playing our favorite games on our gaming mediums of choice on a frequent basis and always enjoy eachother's recommendations.

Damn, I love my dad!
