Donkey Kong - King of Swing (GBA)

Post by gtmtnbiker »

Any fans of the Donkey Kong - King of Swing (GBA) game? I've been playing it lately and its lots of fun. You're controlling a Donkey Kong who swings from peg to peg, collecting bananas and special chips. Each board has a different theme. One board has a windstorm/tornado theme where DK can get blown around as he's swinging.

At the moment, I'm on the Waterfall board which I find to be very challenging. The pegs move in a constant stream downward. It seems that you need to briefly touch the peg which enables DK to somewhat "jump".

King of Swing seemed fun. I played a friend's copy once very briefly, and thought it seemed cool... but is this game as rare as it seems? His copy was the only time I've ever actually seen the game, and I don't remember it getting any press or publicity either.

It's definitely not a common game. I got mine from GameStop and I forget how much I paid for it. I also bought Wario Ware Twisted that day.

At the moment on Ebay, there are 4 copies for sale, two for around $10 shipped. In my opinion, this game is worth the $10.

Seems like fun, if I can find a cheap copy, I'll pick it up.
