That sucks, i hope she didnt give it to anybody else.

I hope she makes a full recovery. However, is swine flu really all that deadly? We've had about 400 cases here in Australia that have so far resulted in 0 fatalities. At least that stat bodes well for her.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

Not really. It's mostly the very young and very old who are at risk, same as regular flu. It's only gained a lot of attention because of places in mexico where there's a lack of decent medical care, so it's spread a lot faster there and taken a lot of lives.

I think there's only been 2 deaths in the US. And I believe in both cases the person had other serious medical conditions.

The post above me is really funny
though I didn't get the tomba joke, if it is a game I never played it.

The media made a big fuss about the swine flu. I thought it is deadly or something. Now it appears to be just a normal flu that you get recovered
after few days of medication and it is not deadly?
Heck, now maybe I WANT to get this flu so maybe my body builds defenses against it like the a regular flu, then I do not have to worry about it.

Thanks guys! I hope she gets better too... We got her on medication, and nothing terribly wrong has happened. Let's just hope it's not the dreaded piggy flu.

Meh, sucks that she got it, but we've blown the thing way out of proportion...

Scientists see the strain as relatively mild, meaning that we see stronger strains of flu all the time. This one just happened to have an outbreak where there is a sub-par medical system and it's close to the U.S. so naturally, the media gobbled it like my previous Time-Vampire ( ).

The media make a big deal out of anything. Fearmongering is big business in the USA.

Not always, it depends on their bias. If something they don't like happens, they just don't report it, or give as little info as possible.

As for this...last I heard, it was actually less dangerous than the regular flu, and for some reason it hit Mexico the hardest. Even the two cases in the United States that resulted in fatalities were from Mexicans, in one case a child brought over the border for medical help in Texas, while in the other it was an immigrant in California.
