Holy crap... Team Ninja is making a Metroid game?!!!

So this morning I was watching the live video on 1up, and at the very start of the Team Ninja intro (before the logo came up) my browser froze on me. I still got the audio feed, so I left it alone and figured it was just a netspike. Then I hear "Any objections, Lady?" and immediately freak out. Close the browser, reopen it, the page is being slammed. By the time I get it loaded up again it's the very last shot of the title. But it didn't matter, as I was already sold. Then I saw the video when they posted it on Game Trailers, and I'm really sold.

I really wish that we could get a Metroid wii game in the same vein as Wario Land Shake It. That would be epic and allow for a world of unbelievably huge proportions.

Yeah, didn't see this coming from a mile off. As the trailer was starting up zooming thropugh space all these names were popping through my head: Starfox? F-Zero? What, what? XD

Looked pretty stunning, and I was not a huge fan of the Prime games due to not being very good at first person games, so maybe this is more like the classic games.

I was actually expecting Disaster: Day of Crisis for some reason. I guess those clouds reminded me of, like, natural disasters? Now I realize that that game is already out in Europe and Japan, so why would it be that?

Anyways, Other M looks great. I'm not a big fan of Metroid, but this title definitely has my interest.

plus this thing looks like it's still in heavy production, and still far from release.

That's what they say about every single game made by Treasure, but do you hear any complaints?

Anyway, in my opinion, Team Ninja was the prefect choice for helping develop a Metroid game. Fast, stylish action fits the series like a glove. Also, the Metroid series has been begging for a game that has a deeper story for years. Finally, the great ideas and atmosphere of Metroid can be given the story it deserves.
