Whats up with Kojima's new game?

I see an 8 now. WAAAY to soon for a sequel to MGS4 and I haven't even played it yet. Be cool like everyone says MGS4 for 360 but I'm not getting hyped.

Hideo Kojima has just popped up at Microsoft's keynote, and announced that the Metal Gear Solid franchise is coming to Xbox 360 with an all-new title.

This game is called "Metal Gear Rising", is a completely-new title, and rather than starring Solid Snake, will star Raiden.

Now, importantly, he didn't mention the word "exclusive". He just said it was "in development" for the 360.

Still, big stuff, no?

Metal Gear Rising? Raiden? X360? New Franchise?.. HUH?

Guess we'll find out properly in just under an hour.


Although they did say they were bringing the "Metal Gear Solid franchise to the 360" They didn't say, "next instalment" or anything like that. So who knows we may still get MGS4 on 360, I wouldn't care if it was 10 discs or whatever, I know I'd prefer that over the constant, overly long installs on the PS3.

Supposedly all the scenes with Raiden fighting in MGS4 were completely badass, but you couldn't play any of them. Looks like maybe this game was intended all along.

Guess we'll have to wait a bit.

Just read that Rising won't be a 360 exclusive. And 360 fans thought they would keep all that "Lightning Bolt Action" to themselves?!

Maybe it'll be like MGS2 and he'll pull the ole switcheroo and everyone will think they are going to play as Raiden, but you'll really play as Snake. Who knows with this guy...

Raiden was a very popular character in Japan. But most Japanese are fans of girly boys for some reason, very weird.

Looks like Kojima is somewhat involved in the next Castlevania game for 360/PS3 as well...
