Keep us posted on what you find/how it goes. I've considered doing this but never really heard great things about Linux emulation of classic consoles or MAME on the PS3. Also, do any of them allow you to use the DualShock 3 or PS3/USB arcade sticks?

Yeah same here. I also read that some of the emulators have issues with the button configurations. I think you can use the dual shock 3, but I'm not sure the wireless works.

I would love to do this but would have no idea about what I was doing. I'll echo above and say keep us posted.
